Administrative Assistant (Front Office)

Summit Christian Academy is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support our vibrant school community. In this full-time position, you will play an active role in the day-to-day functions of the school and regularly engage with staff, families, students, and vendors. The right candidate will contribute to the positive culture of our school and share an enthusiasm for our mission to provide high-quality, Christian education in the Salt Lake Valley. In addition to the regular tasks to perform as part of our school’s operational schedule (i.e., open enrollment, workathon, school programs, and fundraisers), there is also ample room for personal and professional growth and development through the support and/or execution of several new programs and initiatives as part of the vision for the school.

Successful candidates are strong written and verbal communicators, detail-oriented, possess great interpersonal skills, adept with technology, resourceful, and organized.

This is a year-round position of 32 to 38 hours per week with benefits provided through the Nevada-Utah Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, including medical, life, and paid time off. Minimum education and experience requirements include a high school diploma and one to five years’ experience with administrative work. Also, must be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.

Substitute Teacher

Music Teacher

SCA is accepting applications for a Music Teacher for the upcoming school year to teach choir, hand bells, and lead/oversee the Christmas and Spring music programs as well as full-service and/or special music programs at SDA churches in the Salt Lake Valley. Candidates should share our passion for Christian education and reflect our mission to provide a safe and engaging environment for students to learn and grow through interactive, problem-based learning and opportunities to challenge themselves.

Prior music instruction experience preferred. Anticipated hours per week range from 10 to 15 hours in addition to hours spent conducting at planned programs.

Position may be combined with other positions to create a full-time role that would provide eligibility for benefits through the Nevada-Utah Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, including medical, life, and paid time off.

Teacher's Aid

SCA is accepting applications for a Teacher's Aid to support in the classroom throughout the school day. Candidates should share our passion for Christian education and reflect our mission to provide a safe and engaging environment for students to learn and grow through interactive, problem-based learning and opportunities to challenge themselves.

Anticipated hours per week range from 32 to 38 hours. Experience in education and/or child care is preferred. Position may be combined with other positions (e.g., Extended Learning Program Lead, Music Teacher, Music Lesson Instructor) to create a year-round role. It is anticipated the candidate could meet the minimum weekly requirement to be eligible for benefits through the Nevada-Utah Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, including medical, life, and paid time off.

Extended Learning Program (Program Lead & Small Group Leader Positions)

Summit Christian Academy is accepting resumes and emails of interest for staff to work the following positions in our Extended Learning Programs:

  • Spring Break S.T.E.A.M Program - Program Lead (1 position)

  • Spring Break S.T.E.A.M Program - Small Group Leader (up to 4 positions)

  • Summer Break Program - Program Lead (1 position)

  • Summer Break Program - Small Group Leader (up to 4 positions)

Programs align with school breaks as posted on school calendar. In these positions, you will guide children through a variety of themed and engaging curriculum and assist them in a variety of team-building activities, games, and hands-on experiments and activities.

All positions are paid with the Program Lead positions having the option to be combined with other available positions at the school to create a full time role. Small Group Leader positions are open to applicants 14 years and older. Experience with children, camps, vacation Bible school, youth groups, Pathfinders/Adventurers, or similar preferred.

SCA is seeking to add private music lessons to our extended learning program offerings, including piano, guitar, ukulele, and/or strings. Space is available for lessons to occur after school hours on weekdays
