Virtual Prayer Chain

You're invited to join us May 30, 2020!

Our school was so blessed by the Jericho Walk from the beginning of the school year, we wanted to host another collective prayer. This time, being mindful of the health and safety of all, we have created a 24 hour virtual prayer chain that can be done inside, in your backyard, on a walk or hike, or even from your car in our parking lot.

Click the button to sign up for a 30 minute time slot and then check back here during your prayer time to reference the prayer list.

Prayer List

As you join us in prayer, please include the following requests and thanksgivings. This is much the same as what was prayed for at the beginning of the school year, but with the addition of the blessings and answers we have received.

  • School property and facility - God has blessed so much this year! He provided an opportunity to refinance the school’s loan and amazing support through work-bees, volunteers in the classrooms, and help when the water pipe broke in the parking lot. God is sustaining and so very good!
  • Our students - Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for our students and their eagerness to learn. Also, thanksgiving for a $10,000 grant the school received to grow our existing robotics and STEM programs and a grant from NUC to purchase more Chromebooks.
  • Our teachers and staff - A school year like none other! Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for teachers who creatively and diligently continued providing high-quality education for our students.
  • Families of our students - Our students have amazing families, this year was especially tough as parents became co-teachers. Offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the strength and support God has offered this school year and ask for a continued blessing on our school families.
  • School’s constituency churches - Constituency churches are a vital part of the Adventist Education structure, we are blessed with faithful and involved constituency churches, a strong school board, and interest in additional churches joining our constituency. Offer a prayer for continued blessings on our constituency church and all churches in our valley.
  • School’s surrounding community - Being a meaningful part of our community is important to our school. Whether encouraging others through our message board or serving through community service activities at nearby organizations, we want to shine God's light. Offer a prayer for continued opportunities to share God's love in our community and inspire our students in the process.
  • Our friends and supporters (That's You!) - We are thankful for you! Your prayers, support, and donations of time and financing make it possible for our school to provide a Christ-centered atmosphere and education for so many! We pray a prayer of thanksgiving for you and ask that God richly blesses you and your family for the support you give, show, and share!
  • Next year and beyond - Pray for God's continued blessings for our school as well as His guidance and leading as we prepare and plan for the future.

Power in Prayer

You may recall at the beginning of the school year Summit Christian Academy hosted a Jericho Walk. On that warm Sabbath afternoon, people from all over the valley joined us in walking around the school seven times with prayers for our facility, staff, students, families, churches, community, and more. The Jericho Walk blessed our school and those that participated so much, we wanted to end the school year the same way.

Our ability to gather may be restricted right now, but God is still actively listening to and answering our prayers. We hope you will join us for our 24-hour virtual prayer chain by signing up for a 30 minute time block (click the button above). Feel free to share this with others in your prayer circle and in your extended families.
